Garth sold out to CBS and the live show suffered!
The Elovaters concerts over 22 years and they were the best 4 concerts of my life. It was even compared to Central Park, imagine our excitement for such a big event. The first stand alone concert at Notre Dame, this was supposed to be epic. The hype was just that, he didn't back it up. The way home was filled with anger and regret having just spent money and time on this disappointment. The weather was cold and wet, they couldn't start on time because the fans were stuck in parking lots. The show lacked energy and passion, it was very short (in relation to typical Garth shows). They were too worried about the CBS special, they failed to tell the hard working people who sold this show out in 2 hours. The shortest lines were merch lines, it took an hour to get a soda. We didn't find out until last minute and were told if we didn't like it we could leave, but not offered our money back. The stadium couldn't handle this magnitude of an event. We drove 5 and a half hours there, arriving around 4 and left right after, getting home at 6 am Sunday morning. The ride there, we partied and sang every Garth song along the way. The Live show was supposed to be the special. The show was a set up for the TV special. You have shown your true colors here Garth, stopping the show several times to fake something for TV or TV magic as you tried to joke about several times, not cool man. The venue is not meant for concerts and I would never return.
